Again with the Y - Z.
Okay, all worked out. Terry and I went with Dieter and we did just fine. Terry and he talked and talked and fit like a lid to a pot ( a new german phrase we learned. For Gerdi if she's reading.) We walked along the North Sea all day. It was exhausting! The wind was blowing about 30 knots (sp?) and raining off and on. Basically perfect for me. If it had been hot again I would have never made it.
Drove back a scenic route and took a ferry. Had vegitarian lasagna for dinner with red wine.
Tired - sunburned - exhausted. Happy everything worked out okay.
Good night.

From Gayle
Hiya - this is sounding like a wonderful trip. It should never be without some contention to keep it real. But you've described serenity and hospitality in others. I can't wait to hear more.I am about finished with 'to kill a mockingbird', should wrap up today.

hey,not sure how to do this and hope it comes out okay. i wrote my name in the Subject box because i didn't know how else to identify myself. anyway, it sounds like everything worked out with the parent/shelly drama. people never understand that you don't want to be pulled into their family dynamics and the importance of keeping your hosts from feeling disrespected.
sounds like there is enough drinking to keep everyone happy. what are the upcoming plans, day trips, etc.?
it has been beautiful here and we're trying to get out everyday. nothing like you guys though.
bring back plenty of dark chocolate, send a postcard for the boys. how is shelly's girlfriend? what is that scene like?
talk later.

Re: Rebecca
We're doing postcards tomorrow. On the look out for chocolate (and licorice) and assorted goodies.Might go to a gay bar on Wednesday night, but we haven't decided yet. Shelly and Frenze hold hands and smootchie smootchie all the time (annoyingly so at times) and absolutely no one bats an eye. I was suprised.
Has it been really hot?
